About Me

Just to set the scene, I'm an average 15-year-old boy, but i don't do the whole anti-social, getting up at like 13:00 and then going to back to bed about an hour later! I prefer to have a full day to do as much stuff as i can. I live in the beautiful country of England (just to add at this point, I’m not majorly patriotic, but i will never refuse a piece of fabric with a Union Jack on it or something that it typically British) in a small town that hasn't really got much in it, few mainstream shops and a wonderful craft shop - I’ll come to that later.

Any way, my passion is crafts, getting creative anything that makes my mind go wild and lets me create interesting features and designs. For most of my life i have always managed to create things (even if it is/was a mess) and usually with the help of my Grandma. When i was about 6 or 7 years old, my Grandma and Grandad decided to get a dolls house, for myself and my Grandma; along with some help from my brother, we decorated and furnished this house, mainly out of things we could find around the house, it tools us a good couple of years to complete. So most weeks after this i would go round, usually because my brother was at football training, whilst there i would take everything out of this little house and then ut it back, but in a different order - unknown to me this would be my future (sort of). However, when i was 11 years old my Grandma gave the house away to my cousins, to me at this time just wasn't right, i had to have a house of my own, this was when i discovered miniatures.

Up-until about a year ago everything creative that i did was based on Dolls Houses and Miniatures, then i had a weeks work experience at The Craft Shop, in my town - from then i haven't looked back. Although I only get paid for my work when the Saturday girl is away, i have spent most of my Saturdays there, and popped in every day on the way home from school. By doing this i haven't learn loads of new crafts, that i have been able to share with my Grandma, along with being able to learn how to run a shop and speak to customers on the best wool for their 30 year old pattern. But along with this, i have also created a passion for fabric, so i have been created numerous cushions for myself family and friends - from this i have recently got a Saturday job at the the shop next to The Craft Shop making curtains and blinds, along with advising people of the right colour and design.

So from this, i turns out I am meant to have a job based in design - and i love it! This year happens to be the best yet - touch wood!
